Abstract

This article offers an analysis of the phenomenon of demonstrations in France today, in connection with the evolutions of the democratic system. An instrument of democratic expression, the demonstration can also constitute a threat to representative democracy. Demonstrations have become a democratic practice whose recognition is mainly conditioned by their peaceful nature.
